Western Idaho Fair

This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit the Western Idaho Fair with my roommates. We started our evening with the intention of seeing the headlining concert for the night, Trace Adkins. After only a ten-minute drive from campus to the fairgrounds we proceeded to wait in traffic for over an hour just to be able to park our car. For those going in the future I would recommend leaving at least an hour and a half before you would like to be there. By the time we got parked and gained admittance we were only able to see the last song of the concert. We spent the rest of the night walking around the fair grounds. We checked out different booths and enjoyed caramel apples and elephant ears, very yummy!
Overall the fair was a good night! I would definitely recommend it; however, I would leave earlier in the day to better enjoy rides and the free concert. The event was very crowded with people so I would also suggest going during a weekday instead of a more popular weekend night. For BSU students it is a fun and relatively cheap night out, depending on how many rides you go on and such. Fairs are always a fun way to spend summer nights!
